Description of Styrax Oil
Steam-distilled from the crude gum of Liquidambar styraciflua trees, Styrax Oil is an incredibly rich and viscous liquid that is highly popular among perfumers. The aroma of this oil is balsamic and sweet, with a spicy and slightly floral nuance. This makes styrax oil an excellent addition alongside ingredients such as lily, lilac, and rose. The primary benefits of using Honduran styrax oil is that it contains all of the floral and balsamic notes of styrax gum, only without any of the unwanted acids and coloration issues. Combined with its comparatively low cost when compared to similar oils and styrax has become an incredibly attractive ingredient for floral perfumers everywhere.
