Tilia Absolute (Linden Flower) HEADER

Tilia Absolute (Linden Flower)

Thymus vulgaris

Description of Tilia Absolute (Linden Flower)

Tilia Absolute is extracted from the fragrant blossoms of the Tilia cordata tree, also known as the “Linden Tree” or the “Small-leaved Lime Tree.” The botanical has its origins in England and northern Europe – it is often an indicator of “ancient woodlands,” as the botanical first established itself thousands of years ago and was considered a holy tree by certain native cultures. Tilia Absolute, sometimes referred to as Linden Blossom Absolute, has an extremely warm, floral, and somewhat citrusy aroma with subtle green and herbaceous undertones. In perfumery, it is often used to add depth and sophistication to natural fragrances, especially in floral or gourmand compositions.
