US Dockworkers Suspend Strike Until January 2025

After just three days of widespread labor strikes, the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance (USXM) have reached a tentative agreement to extend their labor contract until January 15th, 2025. This extension provides both sides with time to gather their arguments and strengthen their cases before returning to the bargaining table. Until then, all strike activity will cease, and port activity is expected to return to normal.
