Black Pepper Oil

Description

Black Pepper Oil is steam-distilled from the nearly-ripened berries of the Piper nigrum vine, which is predominantly grown throughout southern India. Its aroma is fresh and dry, with a warm and woody top note reminiscent of freshly cracked black pepper. Its flavor, however, is quite different to the black pepper found within pepper pots around the world. Black Pepper Oil imparts a dry, woody, slightly bitter taste that only retains a mild spiciness. This makes the material an excellent modifier for other spice flavors, particularly those used in sauces, seasonings, and dressings. In perfumery, Black Pepper Oil can be used to great effect within floral and amber fragrances.
