Description

A pale yellow liquid steam-distilled from the seeds of the Apium graveolens plant, Celery Seed oil is commonly cultivated and produced throughout Europe, Asia, and North America. The oil’s tenacious “soup-like” aroma has a warm and spicy nuance, with a powerful fatty odor typical of the celery plant from which it is derived. In perfumery, Celery Seed oil is used in a variety of different products, though with varying degrees of quantity. The oil’s warmth particularly strong effect when used to highlight floral and aldehydic ingredients. Celery Seed oil is also heavily used throughout the flavor industry, often used as a common addition to meat sauces, pickling brines, and vegetable juices.
