Davana Oil

Description

Davana oil is steam-distilled from the flowering tops of the Artemisia Pallens plant, which grows in many of the same regions as Indian sandalwood. The oil is recognized for its distinct plum-like top note, which is valued as an ingredient among herbal tea blends. Davana oil’s aroma also retains a sharp and herbaceous green profile, often added alongside other “artemisia” oils in local flavor and fragrance blends. The davana herb is most commonly grown as an extra source of income by traditional farming communities, planted between rice, black pepper, or rubber crops.
