Almond Oil Bitter ex-Almond

Prunus armeniaca

Description of Almond Oil Bitter ex-Almond

Almond Oil Bitter Ex-Almond is derived from the pressed cakes of bitter almond kernels, harvested from the Prunus amygdalus tree. Almonds are native to the Middle East, though the tree has since spread to countless other regions including Africa, Europe, North America, and the Mediterranean. The aroma of Almond Oil Bitter Ex-Almond is sweet and clean, with a very strong “cherry” character provided by its high natural benzaldehyde content. The material is used extensively in both flavor and fragrance applications, enjoyed for its pleasant sweet and fruity profile. Almond Oil Bitter Ex-Almond works especially well when paired with floral and citrus ingredients such as rose, bergamot, and lilac.
