Ambrette Seed Oil

Hibiscus abelmoschus l.

Description of Ambrette Seed Oil

Ambrette Seed Oil is derived from the crushed seeds of the Hibiscus abelmoschus (also known as Abelmoschus moschatus), which is an aromatic plant endemic to Asia and Australia. The aroma of this material rich, sweet, and floral, with a musky and alcoholic nuance reminiscent of cognac or brandy. Somewhat similar to cypress or rose, Ambrette Seed Oil also contains strong undertones of “overripe fruit,” which adds further complexity to this remarkable essential oil. This aroma is extremely tenacious and works well when paired with ingredients such as rose, neroli, and sandalwood.
