Marjoram Oil Spanish
Description of Marjoram Oil Spanish
Steam-distilled from the flowering tops of the Thymus Masticina herb, Marjoram Oil Spanish is cultivated throughout the region, grown and distilled by local producers. The oil’s aroma bears some resemblance to the sweet marjoram variety, though it is far more powerful and camphoraceous, exhibiting similarities to eucalyptus and rosemary. Spanish marjoram oil’s flavor is warm and spicy, with slightly sweet and bitter undertones. However, the aftertaste has a unique cooling effect not present in traditional sweet marjoram, making it an interesting addition to soups, meat sauces, and spice blends.
