Description
This grade of lemon oil has been “folded”, giving it the designation of Lemon Oil California 5x. This essentially means that the original lemon oil has had a portion of its terpenes removed in order to concentrate the more aromatic aldehydes, which also increases the higher boiling components of the oil. This process allows California lemon oil 5x to retain its more natural “lemony” qualities, making it ideal for flavor applications such as beverages and candies. The folding process generally makes for an oil that is much sweeter, emphasizing the candy-like nuances of standard lemon oil. Lemon oil California 5x is especially important in formulations where solubility and concentration are important.
