Lemongrass Oil is steam-distilled from the leaves of the Cymbopogon flexuosus plant, which grows throughout many regions of Africa, India, South America, and the Caribbean. The plant was originally used as feed for tropical livestock, though its widespread abundance and pleasant aromatic qualities quickly made it an inclusion in countless Asian and African-style foods. The aroma of Lemongrass Oil is strong and fresh, with a grassy and citrus nuance that is immediately recognizable. It also retains a herbaceous, tea-like note that is quite pleasant in both flavors and fragrance applications.
