Description
A dark green extract of Evernia prunastri lichen, Oakmoss Absolute Green has historically been derived from a number of different moss species that grow throughout Europe. Despite its unconventional source, this absolute is very common within perfumery, often used to provide a strong woody and green note to chypres, fougeres, and other woody fragrances. Oakmoss is also a natural fixative ingredient, lending a strong body to rich and “forest-like” undertones. This supreme level of versatility has allowed oakmoss absolute green to remain a staple of perfumery, enjoying widespread popularity among the fragrance industry for decades.
