Yuzu Oil

Description

Steam-distilled from the unique fruits of the Citrus junos tree, Yuzu Oil was first introduced to Japanese markets via central China and Tibet. The oil’s aroma is intense and citrus-like, with a bright and somewhat floral top note. In Asian cuisine, yuzu oil is a popular component of sauces, soups, and table condiments. The flavor of this oil is often compared to a blend of grapefruit, lemon, and lime, making it an excellent addition to all manner of food products, from ice cream to salad dressings. While the import of fresh yuzu fruits is banned in the US, the flavor and fragrance of yuzu oil continues to rise in popularity outside traditional Asian markets.
