With fuel oil prices rising, a bad situation became worse, with political instability increasing. There was rioting and there were deaths. The President has been ousted. Fortunately production of Vetiver had ceased and stocks were shipped.

Pricing for new crop Chinese Oil has softened. Reports claim demand is off. With falling prices from China, the Egyptians have responded by slightly lowering prices also.

Petroleum based, solvents such as Propylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, and Diethyl Phthalate have all seen prices increase monthly. With summer months coming soon, demand for Propylene Glycol for deicing aircraft in the Northern Hemisphere will drop, so production will ease, putting further pressure on prices.

The Logistics and Transportation Journals continue to lament the state of the American Trucking Industry.  One journal has published a report from the American Trucking Association stating that turnover in the last quarter of 2015 for drivers of the large truckloads fleet was 102%.  This […]
